Start by ensuring your first coat has developed fully and has been rinsed off. Once your skin is dry, take a fresh tanning mitt and apply the second coat evenly using long, sweeping motions. Remember to blend carefully around tricky areas like elbows, knees, and ankles to avoid any uneven patches.
Can you do 2 layers of self tan?
You can put on multiple layers in one day or, my personal favorite, apply over 2 days. I like to apply, wait 8 hours, rinse (no soap), then apply another layer. This washes off the instant bronzer and gives better absorption for the new coat.
Does 2 coats of fake tan make it darker?
This is due to the concentration of DHA in spray the solution. DHA is what gives you the final colour once the cosmetic bronzer has washed off. So spraying the client twice only makes the guide colour darker but it is just wasted once the client has a shower.
How long should you wait before applying another layer of fake tan?
We generally recommend sticking to the one self tanning product per application. If you do not find the colour to be as dark as you would expect, you can always apply a second coat 30-60 minutes after initial application or the following day if the developed colour is not to your desired colour depth.
Do you have to remove all fake tan before reapplying?
Remove all traces of tan before reapplying it
To prime skin for a fresh tan application, remove all trace of tan. The quickest and easiest way to do this is with a remover mousse and/or tan removing mitt. Our Tan Remover Mousse effectively gets rid of all traces of even the darkest tan, in minutes.
How many drops of self tanner should I use?
Application. Add 2-12 drops to a minimum of 2ml (½ teaspoon) of your favourite moisturiser, mix together, and apply to skin. Do not add more than 12 drops to moisturiser.
